April Pastor’s Message

Welcome Spring!
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know of the small group opportunities we have offered to the community at Faith First UCC this year.

Our Men’s Breakfast continues to grow and learn in their faith on the second Saturday of each month at 8 AM. They are currently reading the book, Twelve Ordinary Men, which dives into the lives of the twelve disciples of Jesus, showing that they were just regular people—flawed, imperfect, and often misunderstood—yet chosen to do extraordinary things. The book is a reminder that we don’t need to be perfect to be used by God.

The Women of Faith are meeting on the second Tuesday of each month for dinner at 6 PM. They are currently studying the book, Twelve Extraordinary Women, which tells the stories of women such as Eve, Ruth, Mary, and Esther. These women were ordinary in many ways, facing struggles, doubts, and challenges just like anyone else. Yet, through their trust in God, they became extraordinary examples of faith and devotion.

For the Lenten Season the entire congregation is participating in the sermon series, Encounters With Christ. Those interested in taking a deeper dive into these stories are encouraged to meet on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM. Conversations take these encounters that Jesus had and relate them to our own lives. All are encouraged to attend. Our final meeting will be April 16th.

Small groups provide a tight-knit community that fosters both spiritual and personal growth. We would love to see you there!
